Violent Affair is a HC/street punk band from Oklahoma City (Bomb City), USA. In the summer of 2007, Violent Affair started with Grant on guitar, Dave on bass, Robby on vocals and Adan on drums. They played a couple shows together with bands such as Monster Squad and SS-Kaliert. After a few months, Adam was replaced by Bran. This line up played together for almost a year until Robby and Bran moved on to different things. In the summer of 2008, Dave moved to vocals, their friend Tanner was on bass and their other friend Ryan became their drummer. This line up was basically the beginning of the band today. On June 23, 2010 their debut full-length "Stand Trial" was released on Razorblade Music in Europe and Charged Noise Music in USA. 11 tracks containing tunes straight from the heart that kick you in the teeth to sounds that just make you want to hangout with your friends.
True Liberty is a three piece Christian Punk Rock band from Richmond, Virginia, USA. They don’t try to hide the fact that they are christians, and that they believe in Jesus Christ. Positively blasting classic punk and Oi! sounds in True Liberty’s unique and uncompromising style. They firmly committed, spiritually driven, pedal-to-the-metal music overflowing with hooks, chords and thunder. True Liberty formed in 2005 with Aaron "Liberty" Wells leading the call for members to join the christian band. After years of running away from God, Aaron became a powerful voice for Christian believers along with founding members Mike "Liberty" Collawn and Tom "Liberty" Schoppe, and were later joined by Tim "Liberty" Perkins, and Andrew Godfrey taking their turn on the bass. Their unique blend of Christian lyrics intertwined with gut wrenching, raw, garage punk sounds. "Marked For Life" is their fourth full-length, and stands firmly on the broad shoulders of their past releases, released with Thumper Punk Records. As a sober punk band, True Liberty writes, performs and shares this message with fans throughout the world, “We’re not perfect, we’ve made mistakes but we have a responsibility to share our faith, our love, our passion for our Savior, Jesus Christ, with those around us. We press on despite struggles and attacks. We don’t get any fame, or money, or awards for what we do, but to us it’s about playing the music we love and using it to share Jesus with others.” Hmm...
Gunsmoke is a punk rock band with rockabilly influences from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. This album is their third full-lenght. (If you interested in their second "Gunsmoke"album, click here!)
The Tartan Hearts is a celtic folk-punk band from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The band hailing from Calgary (Canada) released a kick ass debut album back in 2008. Unfortunately, they kept a low profile and the band broke-up a year later. “Flag’s At Half Mast” is a twelve track CD in which eleven tracks are self-penned songs and only one is a traditional tune (the opening track “Masons Apron”). Even if Aaron Taylor (bagpipes and tin whistle) had played live with the previous incarnation of the band, No Coast Hardcore, both bands are different. The Scottish traditional music has a bigger weight on The Tartan Hearts sound, a blend of bagpipes, street punk and Oi! If you like bagpipe punk bands like The Real McKenzies, The Tradesmen or Pipes And Pints I highly recommend this band.
The Lucky Stiffs, was a San Francisco punk band, pure and simple. Falling somewhere between street punk and pop-punk the Stiffs provide a decent, if not entirely memorable full-length debut offering in "Gold In Peace, Iron In War". The Lucky Stiffs always attempt to take an unselfish look at their music and challenge themselves to step into unexplored paths. In many ways this is a key to maintaining constant excitement and enthusiasm for their place within a genre of music too often hell-bent on repetition and limitation. While it's debatable if any studio recording could ever capture the energy that The Lucky Stiffs emit live, these twelve solid tracks truly stand their ground. This album reflects the truth in their powerful message and delivery, giving you some raw insight into what keeps this band going so strong and continues to electrify and inspire so many loyal fans.
